What will you be doing?

The Director of Infrastructure Security Engineering is responsible for Managing the  Security Engineering team, consisting of direct reports and indirect reports across multiple lines of business and geographic areas. This Is a hands-on, “lead by doing” position as well as team hiring, training and development.



  • Manage the Infrastructure Security Engineering team, direct reports and indirect reports across multiple technology development/support team and lines of business across our nationwide footprint.
  • Lead security engineers to design, build, run, and maintain security tools to safeguard the company’s assets and investigate security breaches, including participation in incident response planning, detection, response and remediation.
  • Provide strategic risk guidance for IT and Engineering projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls.
  • Collaborate with executives and senior management across the company to prioritize security initiatives, ensure technical and operational security controls are incorporated into new systems and applications, while maintaining our company’s cultural principles
  • Develop, manage, and consult on the technical architecture and strategies for enterprise Information Security controls.
  • Review projects and provide security standards to technology teams, prescribing appropriate protection configurations that will balance business requirements with enterprise technology standards to arrive at the optimal solution.
  • Investigate leading technologies in the marketplace and make assessments regarding relevance to security related technology solutions and maintains effective relationships with key technology vendors and industry professionals.
  • Review security controls, data and processes to provide better metrics and operational support
  • Contribute to development of company-wide security strategy.
  • Conduct forensic investigations for HR, Legal, or incident response related activities.
  • Grows cyber intelligence capabilities and networks.
  • Responsible for identifying continuous security capability improvements that will help protect our computing environments.


What you will bring: 


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security technical leadership positions.
  • Minimum of five years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability the communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest information security technologies.
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT and NIST.
  • High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptualization skills, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled manager who can successfully coach and inspire a world class team
  • Deep experience in security engineering principles and technology
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and rapid growth
  • Technical knowledge and experience with enabling secure cloud based solutions including on premise and cloud based intrusion detection, next generation endpoint security, next generation firewalls, SIEM, security analytics, encryption, vulnerability scanning and other security technologies.
  • Experience investigating security incidents
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results
  • Skilled in discussing complex security issues in understandable business terms
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline (e.g. Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Engineering) from an accredited college or university is  required.  
  • A minimum of seven years of proven experience and technical expertise in Identity and Access Control is required.
  • Management experience is required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Experience working as part of a cross functional team.
  • Experience presenting recommendations to senior management and executive directors.
  • Strong organizational, research, analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take effective action.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.
  • Industry recognized professional Security certification preferred (CISSP, CIPP/IT, CRISC).
