    What you will be doing.


    Function:  Supports division management by scrutinizing operations processes, researching assigned problems and projects, providing analysis and offering/implementing alternative solutions including reporting and statistical analyses.  Reviews and monitors bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.  Oversees production changes and controls and coordinates implementation of projects.   





    1. Interacts with production teams for Legacy and Alnova support and with line of business managers to identify service and support opportunities and assist in the resolution of issues.


    1. Responsible for the coordination of standard changes and of major activities in Legacy and Alnova environments including facilitation of e-moves, weekend activities (e.g. IPLs, DB2 reorgs), and the communications to support these activities.


    1. Supports audit requests and compiles the needed information required, familiar with SOX requirements.


    1. Responsible for analyses and reporting on production and pre-production environments related to aspects of batch processing and system components (statistics, space management, DB2 organization, job efficiency).


    1. Improves processes and policies for organizational goals as well as streamlines Legacy and Alnova batch executions to achieve optimization of processing.


    1. Provides on-call / after-hours support as needed and ability to work a variable schedule on occasion.


    1. Builds and analyzes file transfers including Connect Direct processes.


    Required Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, including 10+ years of Mainframe and JCL experience including handling professional level decision-making, problem-solving, the ability to multi-task, and effective communication with upper management. 
    • Bank operations experience preferred.
    • Requires high degree of self-motivation, ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to achieve results with strict attention to detail while under pressure of competing deadlines with frequent interruptions.
    • Ability to work in a flexible way that allows for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs of the department, open to cross-training and other tasks as required.
    • Must have strong communications skills and proficient PC skills including MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, Power Point and file systems.
    • Knowledge in BMC Control M scheduling (GUI and Mainframe), Control D reporting, Remedy, Mainframe z/OS, obfuscation, and distributed platforms.
